A ‘Podwalk’ for the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford

This project is part of Seven Sisters Group’s exciting explorations of blending performance with handheld video technology

Atalanta takes you on a 15-minute walk through the Ashmolean Museum - guided by a voice in your earphones and video footage that matches your pathway. Part of the pleasure is to sync the image on the screen with the real environment in front of you. A story unfolds based on the Greek myth of the runner Atalanta and the continuing challenges that face women in sport.
