The Forest

A performance walk created for a woodland setting

A site-specific performance project created for the woodlands of Newlands Corner. Drawing an adult audience into the woodland dusk and away from the comfort and familiarity of the theatre, Seven Sisters Group tap into the darker veins that run deep within our ideas of primeval longing and angst. Mysterious, sensual and haunting, The Forest blends dance, sound and visual imagery on an unsettling journey that walks the borderline between fiction and reality.

Small groups of audience follow a trail through the forest, encountering intriguing and occasionally disturbing characters and haunting installations whilst listening to a sound score through headphones as well as to the live sounds of the forest and performers.
